Flock, getting exiciting!

I’m writing this post from inside the newest thing in web browsing, Flock, made by such visionaries as Bart Decrem, Chris Messina and Daryl L. Houston.

Flock aims to be a super-browser with more connections (basicaly) and they are getting there, although the Developer Preview I tried looked more like a themed Firefox.  The brower in general worked good, although you never realy forgot you were running a preview.

Another little wrinkle, sharing favorites never worked for me, I’d much rather use a service other than dil.icio.us, but it’s hard coded in there.  So really the main thing that drew me to Flock was missing.

My overall experience will make me stick with Firefox for a while longer, but I’ll keep up with the releases….just in case.

(Note to developers, add spell checking…)

Hey, Robin. Daryl here. Thanks for the mention.

We do intend to allow users to tap into other web services for bookmark sharing, so definitely stay tuned.

As for spell check, it’s been on our radar for a long time, but we didn’t get it in in time for this release. I think the next release will have it.
