Equipment

  • PicoAPRS for APRS while travelling, usually attached to my 2019 Jeep Compass.
  • Anytone D868UV for DMR
  • Baofeng BF-F8HP is my primary VHF/UHF HT, and what I usually use to check into local NETs along with a Diamond VHF/UHF mag-mount antenna.
  • Baofeng UV-5RX3 for the occasional 1.25M check in, and because it’ll likely be an operational frequency for VECTOR in case of an emergency.

Membership

I’m a member of VECTOR, a non-profit organization that adds resiliency in communications during times of emergency or disaster to the City of Vancouver and surrounding areas. VECTOR would be classified as a Second Responder organization.
